| Accommodations
"Expedition 170" has accommodations for 12 guests in the owner's party, for a total of 6 staterooms. The owner's stateroom, which includes his office, is located on the top deck and aft of the wheelhouse. This suite opens onto a balcony that overlooks the pool/jacuzzi deck. Total privacy and the best view aboard are afforded this suite. The guests have 5 tastefully decorated staterooms which are below deck and forward, each with ensuite bathroom. The main salon is on the first upper deck with the owner's private galley and dining area adjacent. Below deck and aft of the guest accommodations is the captain's cabin with office and ensuite head with shower, the ship's galley and the crew mess. The lowest deck is laid out as follows: forward is all machinery having to do with tankage and pumps; crew cabins and heads are port and starboard; a professional laundry room complete with pressing machine; and all the way aft is the tremendous engine room. Back up on the tender deck / helipad are all tender requirements. On the forward part of this deck is a day head complete with shower and steam room. The tackle room is also located here. To port on deck is a proper fish cleaning station.
Main Salon
The main salon is very tastefully decorated and located amidships. It offers four areas including the owner's private galley, a dining room with seating for 10; a lounge area with two sofas, chairs and entertainment center; and an additional entertainment area with a small game table with seating for 4. Aft of the main salon is the jacuzzi/pool deck with large sun lounging area and an observation area that looks aft over the tender deck and helipad.
There is a day head in the salon with a marble counter top. There are sliding wing doors aft in the salon which give access to the pool deck. There are custom made bronze-trimmed windows in the salon that give a panoramic view. Next to the wing doors is a bar with liquor storage. The entertainment area with the sofas has an accompanying coffee table that is custom made of leather and a full entertainment center with oversized flat screen TV. The overhead has wood beams with suede headliner. The air conditioning vents are concealed with wood trim. The carpet is white Berber. Custom artwork is displayed throughout.
The owner has a personal gourmet galley in the salon area with the following equipment:

Just off the owner's galley is a dining area with table and chairs for ten (10).
There is a freezer room forward of the ship's regular galley that has (3) Liebherr chest freezers, (3) GE upright refrigerators, a crew coffee station (next to the laundry room), and a dumb waiter opposite this room which goes to the aft deck. The ship's galley is professionally equipped. A list of that equipment is forthcoming.
The laundry room is located in the crew area and has (3) Miele clothes dryers, (2) Miele clothes washing machines, a Miele pressing machine, and a Liederd freezer.
Master Stateroom
The owner's stateroom is located aft of the wheelhouse facing aft with a private balcony that overlooks the pool / Jacuzzi deck. It includes a king sized bed, and a walk-in closet with custom made shelves. An ensuite bathroom has double sinks, a shower, a tub with Jacuzzi and a bidet. There are marble countertops. Aft is a sliding door to the private balcony. This suite is tastefully decorated with silk bed dressings and drapes to match. To port is the owner's private office with a small refrigerator, a desk and very impressive built-in wood cabinetry with shelving. With the advent of satellite communication and the internet, the owner can still run his business from any location. This makes this expedition yacht that much more valuable to the businessman who also has a taste for adventure. From the office, there is a hallway that gives the owner access to the wheelhouse and a wide set of stairs that gives access to the main salon. There is no television or stereo equipment in the master suite.
Crew Quarters
The crew mess is located below deck (behind the galley) and offers the following:

There is a small navigation station that has a Raytheon RN300 GPS, a Raytheon VHF, hand-held VHFs for the crew, and daily service logs. There is also a computer station with a Syncmaster 151 BM fax, an HP All-in-one (fax/scanner/printer), and a Brother fax.
The captain's cabin & office is located behind the crew mess. It is very roomy and has a twin berth, a head with shower and marble countertops, the latest communication equipment, a Sony 27" TV Multi-system, a computer, a stereo, a fax and a printer.
The crew quarters are midship (one deck below the galley and crew mess) and are located between the engine room and the fuel tanks. There are five (5) cabins and three (3) heads. The engineer also has his own head and office. Total crew accommodations are for 15. There is a workshop that is located in the crew area. The very spacious crew mess is next to the galley and has access to the lower back deck where the small boats, fishing and dive equipment are located.
Pilothouse
The class expedition type wheelhouse is very impressive with 180 degree visibility and a vast array of the latest electronics. Aft to starboard is a chart table and communications center which offers the latest in satellite technology money can buy. The wheelhouse has port and starboard wing doors that provide deck access as well as access to the Portuguese bridge in front of the wheelhouse. The room is L-shaped with the navigation station to port, a bench seat in the middle, and a day head behind the navigation station. Custom wood cabinetry houses all of the control panels with alarms to the ship's systems and all electronic equipment. An EPIRB ACR emergency unit is positioned in the wheelhouse for easy access.

There is a forward deck area that provides emergency access to and from the guest staterooms, a Bosun's locker, (2) anchors, a windlass with stainless steel control panel (motor rebuilt in 2003), and a spare Danforth 2200 IBS anchor.
AFT DECK / HELIPAD:
There is a head with shower and steam room next to the tackle room that has rod storage, tackle drawers, a dive compressor, storage for dive equipment (tanks and fins), and a bait freezer. Watertight doors secure this room from both sides. This area is also home to the following equipment:
